The glory days of the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) have long passed.
Back near Fannie Mae’s peak, in August 2002 our Elliott Wave Financial Forecast made a bold call: “Fannie’s break of 75 suggests that it has also entered a long-term decline.”
In December 2007, EWFF confirmed, “Fannie and Freddie, which were both within a few dollars of their all-time highs in 2002, have fallen 70%.”
Shortly thereafter, it was down 99%.
