The Long-Term Decline of Fannie Mae

The glory days of the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) have long passed.

Back near Fannie Mae’s peak, in August 2002 our Elliott Wave Financial Forecast made a bold call: “Fannie’s break of 75 suggests that it has also entered a long-term decline.”

In December 2007, EWFF confirmed, “Fannie and Freddie, which were both within a few dollars of their all-time highs in 2002, have fallen 70%.”

Shortly thereafter, it was down 99%.
