HOW TRADER’S CLASSROOM WORKS
Unlike traditional courses, Trader’s Classroom never stops teaching.
Three times each week, one of our instructors records a concise lesson built around actual market conditions and real trading opportunities.
Lessons can include:
- Elliott wave basics
- How professionals build wave counts
- Where high-confidence opportunities emerge
- When to enter—and when to stand aside
- How to define and manage risk
- The rules and guidelines that keep traders disciplined
- And more…
The result is ongoing education that evolves alongside the markets themselves.

Learn from traders and analysts with almost 150 years’ worth of direct market experience of applying Elliott wave analysis. Here they are:

Robert Kelly Senior U.S. Equity Analyst
Robert Kelley, CEWA, joined EWI in 1990 and edited The Elliott Wave Short Term Update, the Currency and Commodity Hotline and the currency section of The Elliott Wave Currency and Commodity Forecast newsletter. After many years of passionately studying and trading options, he has assembled and taught a multi-part options trading course for EWI. He now produces video lessons for EWI’s popular Trader’s Classroom, and also provides intraday analysis for U.S. stock indexes in EWI’s Pro Services.

Jim Martens Chief Commodity Analyst
A 35-year market veteran, Jim Martens has taught Elliott waves at dozens of trading seminars around the world and has always enjoyed interacting with subscribers. Jim began his study of R.N. Elliott’s Wave Principle in the mid-1980s, which led to a position with Sabin Commodities at the Commodity Exchange Center in New York. He joined EWI in 1993 and soon became the editor EWI’s Currency Outlook of our Currency & Commodities Forecast. In 2000, Jim accepted an invitation to join Nexus Capital Ltd. as their Chief Technical Analyst. He returned to EWI in 2004 to lead our FX and cryptocurrency teams. Jim now runs our Commodities Pro Service and Commodity Junctures and is a Trader’s Classroom Instructor.

Tony Carrion Senior Crypto Analyst
Tony Carrion is a longtime Elliott wave specialist, investor and trader who jumped feet first into the dynamic world of Cryptocurrencies and has hardly come up for air. Prior to joining EWI, in 2000 Tony formed an independent online research service, and from 2008-2014 he worked as an analyst and trader for a New York-based hedge fund. Tony now covers more than 20 cryptocurrency and forex markets in EWI’s Pro Services and contributes video lessons for the newly launched Crypto Trader’s Classroom.

Michael Madden Senior Currency Analyst
Michael Madden, CMT, CFTe, CEWA, is founder of ElliottWaveIreland and the co-head of the Market Technicians Association (Irish Chapter). He joined EWI’s Pro Services team in 2014, initially covering interest rates; he now provides forecasts and analysis for more than 20 currency and cryptocurrency markets in EWI’s Currency Pro Service and is a regular contributor to the monthly Global Market Perspective.

Jason Soni Currency & Crypto Analyst
Jason Soni, CEWA, began his journey with financial markets in 1999 as a private investor. He became a proponent of technical analysis in 2005 and quickly adopted the Wave Principle in 2006. Prior to joining EWI in 2020, Jason spent 10 years guiding subscribers with daily wave analysis covering markets such as stocks, forex and commodities. Today, Jason provides commentary for more than 20 currency and cryptocurrency markets in EWI’s Pro Services, and is a regular contributor to Crypto Trader’s Classroom.

Favio Poci Currency & Crypto Analyst
Favio Poci, CEWA, got his start in financial markets in 2014 as an intern in the currency reserve department at the Central Bank of Albania. He was later trained as an Institutional trader with the SMB Capital futures desk before becoming a Senior Retention Agent with a Swiss FX brokerage where he provided daily coverage on the G10 FX cross rates. He went on to found and manage a website focused on teaching the practical application of the Wave Principle. Favio is now the primary Currency Cross Rates analyst for EWI’s Pro Services.
Not Just Learn—Spot Opportunities (See Real Lesson Examples)
Many of our lessons focus on current market action and real setups as they unfold. That means you’ll not only learn the Wave Principle in practice, but also see how experienced analysts identify potential opportunities in real time.
Here are a few examples:
Cotton Futures
On February 19, 2026, our Chief Commodities Analyst and Trader’s Classroom instructor, Jim Martens, walked his subscribers through a developing setup in cotton that suggested the decline could be ending.
The key pattern: an ending diagonal — an Elliott wave structure that often appears near major turning points.
Jim explained that cotton’s low was likely already in place and that corrective pullbacks could offer additional opportunities before a larger rally unfolded.
Watch the Webinar/Lesson Excerpt Below:
What happened next?
An explosive rally unfolded.

At the time of the webinar, Cotton Futures was trading near 63.64. Over the following months, cotton rallied to nearly 90 — a move of roughly +40%.
Nvidia Corp (NVDA), Semiconductor ETF (SMH), Broadcom(AVGO)
On April 6, while many investors were wondering if the AI stock rally had run its course, subscribers to Trader’s Classroom saw veteran Elliott wave instructor Tony Carrion examine the same question…
Looking at the wave structure in the Semiconductor ETF (SMH), Nvidia and Broadcom, Tony argued the declines appeared corrective — more consistent with fourth-wave behavior than the start of a major bear market. His conclusion: higher highs were still likely ahead.
Here are the charts he presented and what he said:
Semiconductor ETF (SMH):

“The question right now is whether or not all the five waves are in place for us to consider this bull market has peaked. So, to me it hasn’t... That the correction that we’ve been getting over the past few months is what looks to me to be fourth-wave price action.“
Nvidia (NVDA):

“On the basis of the wave patterns that have unfolded since the all-time high, it suggests that probably the highs have not been made, that this would be more consistent with the idea of a fourth-wave retracement.
… the Wave Principle is suggesting that probably the bull market in NVDA is not finished.”
Broadcom (AVGO):

“This also suggests a fourth-wave correction… what tells us that? This is the price action coming down from the all-time high. There are no five-wave patterns in here.”
At the end of his lesson, he said this to subscribers:
“To sum up quickly, I think the wave patterns are saying there should probably be one more run to chase the all-time high.”
What Happened Next?
By April 28th, just a few weeks later, they all went to hit new all-time highs…

SMH rallied roughly+30%

NVIDIA rallied roughly+23%

Broadcom rallied roughly+38%
Robinhood (HOOD)
In a May 5, 2025 Trader’s Classroom lesson, instructor Favio Poci walked subscribers through a detailed wave-counting exercise on HOOD using the weekly log chart shown below. Applying Elliott wave guidelines and channeling techniques, he showed this chart highlighted the probability that the stock was preparing for another strong advance:
Analysis/Forecast:

“Chances are high that we’re gonna see another advance in wave five of three over the next weeks or months… It looks quite bullish.”
What Happened Next?:
In the weeks and months that followed, HOOD did exactly that. The move eventually carried the stock to an intraday high of $153.86 on October 6, 2025.
A gain of roughly +227% from the $46.99 price when subscribers first saw the lesson.

Solana (SOL)
In a June 2025 Trader’s Classroom lesson, instructor Jason Soni walked subscribers through his wave count for Solana (SOL) and explained where he thought prices could go based on rules and guidelines of the Wave Principle. He showed this chart and said:
Analysis/Forecast:

“I’m looking for a move potentially towards $100… at least a test of the wave ((iv)) extreme near $110.”
What Happened Next?

Over the following months, SOL declined, easily reaching that $110 region and eventually bottoming at $95.26, a drop of roughly 59% from where it traded when subscribers first saw the lesson, before staging a corrective rally.
