“Why Big Opportunities Beckon in China and Latin America”
Elliott Wave International just released a special investor report that highlights emerging market setups from two regions: China and Latin America. It’s available for only $29. Follow the link below this video to get your copy.
In the meantime, let me go ahead and give you a broad overview of China and Latin America.
The stock markets of both were in downtrends from 2008 to 2020, which coincided with the bear market in the prices of commodities. China is the world’s biggest importer of commodities, and Latin America is a major exporter of commodities. So, many conventional observers opine that the decline in commodity prices was a major reason that the stock markets of China and Latin America were in bear markets.
But Elliott Wave International posits that, “Investors cannot rely on the trend of commodities to determine what will happen with stocks in China and Latin America.”
Here’s a quote from that special investor report, “China and Latin America: A Contrarian Dream?”:
“The key nuance to us as technical analysts is that fundamentals provide little information about the timing of trends and turns in financial markets. For that, we rely on Elliott wave patterns.”
Indeed, here’s a chart and commentary from the report:
“Our December 2023 Special Section said that Latin American stocks were about to begin new bull markets. Our February 2024 issue then said that Chinese stocks would soon also begin a wave V bull market. The ishares Latin America ETF is attempting to break out above a downtrend line drawn from its 2008 high. The two markets look poised to make considerable progress together over the next decade or longer in advances along with other emerging markets.”
Many investors now have a disdain for the stock markets of China and Latin America. Elliott Wave International has observed that “When such a negative psychology is in place, that’s the very time that independent thinkers should be looking for opportunity.”
