On March 20, Intraday Currencies Pro Services subscribers were tracking a developing setup in EUR/JPY:

Our analyst, Favio Poci, identified the end of a contracting Elliott wave triangle formed in wave (iv) and ending at 182.05.
Elliott Wave Principle describes triangles as reflecting a “balance of forces, causing a sideways movement that is usually associated with decreasing volume and volatility.” They most often appear just before the final move in the trend.
In this case, the trend was up — and the implication was clear: EUR/JPY should break higher in a post-triangle thrust.
What Happened Next?
The triangle resolved exactly as the structure suggested.

From that wave ((iv)) low at 182.05, EUR/JPY broke higher and advanced to 187.36 — a move of roughly +3% in just a few weeks.
Why This Matters
Triangles are one of the clearest ways to identify a breakout ready to happen. When you recognize that structure in real time, you’re not chasing the market — you’re ready to pounce.
That’s exactly what Intraday Currencies Pro Services is designed to help you do:
- Identify developing wave structures across forex markets
- Recognize compression patterns like triangles before they resolve
- Track setups with defined price levels and risk parameters
- Follow the structure as it evolves — intraday and daily
