Meet Your Instructor:

Robert Kelley, Senior U.S. Equtiy Analyst and Trader’s Classroom Instructor

Robert Kelley, CEWA, joined Elliott Wave International in 1990 and originally edited The Elliott Wave Short Term Update, the Currency and Commodity Hotline and the currency section of The Elliott Wave Currency and Commodity Forecast newsletter.

After many years of passionately studying and trading using the Wave Principle, he now produces video lessons for EWI’s popular Trader’s Classroom, an educational service that shows subscribers how to trade with wave analysis and supporting technical methods. You will see some of those lessons in this workshop.

What are some of the challenges a beginner might face, just starting to use Elliott Wave Analysis?

He said:

“Well, a lot of people ask: Where do you start the count from? And they ask: What is a wave? So these are basic things. Maybe it’s like riding a bike—you have to do it, try it a little bit, and then finally it clicks. It takes a bit of a learning curve to get comfortable with it and to understand how to distinguish what a wave is, and what the related wave degree is, that kind of thing. So it’s going to take a little while to fully grasp. And I would say it helps to have a mentor—whether that’s a personal friend who can answer your questions or a service like we offer, where we walk through how to count waves and show examples of maybe the right way to count something—and the wrong way.”
