Good afternoon, Elliott Wave fans. I’m Derek Bruce with Market Minute for Wednesday, November 20th.

With the exception of the interest-rate sensitive Dow Jones Utility Average, U.S. stocks were down across the board. Find out what Chief Market Analyst Steven Hochberg sees next for the major indexes in tonight’s Short Term Update.

The Dow Industrials closed at 27,821.09, down 112.93.

The S&P 500 closed at 3,108.46, down 11.72.

The NASDAQ Composite closed at 8,526.73, down 43.93.

1,259 stocks closed up while 1,593 closed down. TRIN was 1.22.

E-mini S&P futures topped out at 3118.50, had a low of 3090.75 and closed at 3108.75 E-mini Nasdaq futures hit a high of 8348, a low of 8231 and closed at 8291.

In late trading:

T-bond futures were up 3/4of a point at 160-05.

The US Dollar index was up .07 at 97.91.

Gold was down $2.60 at $1471.70.

Silver was flat at $17.12.
