Relive the Great Asset Mania in exquisite detail

The Mania Chronicles is a book only in name. Every page includes compelling and often astonishingly accurate forecasts along with the inevitable miscues, to which the authors adjusted as required. In every instance you are there, experiencing events as they happened. From size alone, you can tell that this is not the sort of text you read in a few sittings. It's an encyclopedic resource that includes a full index and table of contents, so you can search by topics that interest you most, whether they be financial or cultural.

This book lives up in scope to the scale of the Financial Bubble and Crisis: 700 large-size pages long, composed entirely of real-time analysis, charts and forecasts published before the events they describe – reproduced as they appeared in the Elliott Wave Theorist and the Elliott Wave Financial Forecast.

To understand today's crisis – and to be prepared for what's still to come – demands a full grasp of how we got here. The Mania Chronicles is the only resource that offers this to you.

Meet Your Authors

Peter Kendall Chief Analyst for U.S. Markets and Cultural Trends

Peter Kendall has been a market analyst and editor at Elliott Wave International since 1992. In 1996, he edited Prechter’s Perspective, a series of interviews drawn from Robert Prechter’s media commentary. In addition to charting the course of the financial markets, he places the markets within the larger context of big-picture Elliott wave trends in social mood. From the heights of skyscrapers and hemlines to the depths of disco and punk rock, Peter’s insights show EWI’s subscribers why these trends are part and parcel of patterned and predictable Elliott waves. Together with Steven Hochberg, Peter co-edits our monthly Elliott Wave Financial Forecast and on occasion contributes to our U.S. Short Term Update. In 2009, together with Robert Prechter, he co-authored The Mania Chronicles.

Robert Prechter

Robert R. Prechter Founder and President, Elliott Wave International

Robert R. Prechter’s name is familiar to market observers the world over. Since founding EWI in 1979, Prechter has focused on applying and enhancing the Wave Principle, R.N. Elliott’s fractal model of financial pricing. Prechter shares his market insights in The Elliott Wave Theorist, one of the longest-running financial publications in existence today. Prechter has developed a theory of social causality called socionomics, whose main hypothesis is endogenously regulated waves of social mood prompt social actions. In other words, events don’t shape moods; moods shape events. Prechter has authored and edited several academic papers. He has written 18 books on finance and socionomics, including a New York Times bestseller.
