Dear Reader,
The commodities boom of the past several years has brought a lot of mainstream investor attention to the markets previously capitalized on mostly by professionals.
My name is Peter DeSario, and I'm the editor of Elliott Wave International's Commodity Specialty Service.
I've been actively involved in the futures markets since 1971 -- first as a hedger, when I owned a country grain elevator in northwestern Ohio, and then for 14 years as the manager of a brokerage office for the largest futures firm in the United States.
Although I had an MBA and a strong background in economics, I quickly learned that technical -- rather than fundamental -- analysis was a more profitable way to approach the markets. In the mid-1980s, I got heavily into the Elliott Wave Principle and became Bob Prechter's futures broker. I then joined his firm in 1990 to write monthly commodity market forecasts.
Over the years, I learned several new methodologies and developed a myriad technical "tricks of the trade" -- some proprietary, some not, but all shared from time to time with my subscribers. I assiduously adhere to the rules of the Wave Principle and continue to find it invaluable when determining where to initiate a potential trade or where to place a stop.
The Principle also has an uncanny ability to show you support and resistance price points that can precisely -- often within a tick or two -- identify the next day's high or low. As a subscriber, you will see that I take quite seriously my responsibility to provide you with precise price forecasts for more than 15 futures markets, daily.
I hope my Commodity Specialty Service will become an indispensable part of your trading arsenal.
You will find more details below.
Best,

Peter DeSario
