Every day, forex markets present you with multiple potential trading opportunities. For example, here's what the Elliott wave picture in the 12 most-traded currency pairs looks like today:

  1. EUR/USD: on a verge of a 3rd-wave move (strongest move in Elliott wave sequence)
  2. USD/JPY: on a verge of a 3rd-wave move
  3. GBP/USD: on a verge of a 3rd-wave move
  4. USD/CHF: on a verge of a 3rd-wave move
  5. AUD/USD: sideways, but not for long
  6. USD/CAD: likely at the start of a multi-month move
  7. EUR/GBP: inside a trend channel, with fairly predictable "bounces"
  8. EUR/JPY: nearing a major pivot point at 4 Elliott wave degrees of trend
  9. EUR/CHF: "...appears to be set on challenging the Swiss National Bank ceiling."
  10. EUR/CAD: near a major turnaround point
  11. GBP/JPY: prepare for volatility
  12. AUD/JPY on a verge of a 3rd-wave move
Besides opportunities, there is another advantage forex has over equity trading. Says Jim Martens, EWI's Senior Currency Strategist:

"The currency market has far fewer choices than equity markets, and it's a good thing, because that makes your job much easier. The bulk of trading is between the U.S. dollar and euro -- by some estimates, up to 70% of the total daily volume. Besides EUR/USD, we have 5 or 6 other major pairs -- and by watching those, you are basically watching the entire world."

NOTE: This live webinar is the first installment in our free FX trading event on July 18-26. Seating is limited to the first 1,000 active forex traders. Less than 353 seats are left >>

The Elliott Wave Principle is a detailed description of how financial markets behave. The description reveals that mass psychology swings from pessimism to optimism and back in a natural sequence, creating specific Elliott wave patterns in price movements. Each pattern has implications regarding the position of the market within its overall progression, past, present and future. The purpose of Elliott Wave International’s market-oriented publications is to outline the progress of markets in terms of the Wave Principle and to educate interested parties in the successful application of the Wave Principle. While a course of conduct regarding investments can be formulated from such application of the Wave Principle, at no time will Elliott Wave International make specific recommendations for any specific person, and at no time may a reader, caller or viewer be justified in inferring that any such advice is intended. Investing carries risk of losses, and trading futures or options is especially risky because these instruments are highly leveraged, and traders can lose more than their initial margin funds. Information provided by Elliott Wave International is expressed in good faith, but it is not guaranteed. The market service that never makes mistakes does not exist. Long-term success trading or investing in the markets demands recognition of the fact that error and uncertainty are part of any effort to assess future probabilities. Please ask your broker or your advisor to explain all risks to you before making any trading and investing decisions.
