Peter Brandt is a professional trader who trades commodities and vehicles that include ETFs and stocks.
A recent independent audit of his annual IRS tax statements for 18 years of trading verified an average annual return of +41.6 percent!
Peter also has a new book titled Diary of a Professional Commodity Trader: Lessons from 21 Weeks of Real Trading.
His first-ever trader's boot camp sold out within three weeks; Peter limits the boot camp to 20 students, so he can provide personal attention to each attendee.
In fact, I asked him about that in a phone conversation:
Q: What personal attention will attendees receive?
"I am committed to mentorship. Before the event attendees will complete a questionnaire about their trading history. I will discuss it with them via phone before the Orlando boot camp. I want to gain a sense of who they are and what their struggles have been.
During the boot camp attendees will be given assignments that move them into the direction of treating trading as a business enterprise. I will be staying on top of their progress. Also, the boot camp will be highly interactive -- I am not going to lecture for 2-1/2 days.
After the boot camp I expect attendees to further develop their trading plans. I will review these plans over the phone with each attendee.
Finally, I hope to develop a web site that serves as an online social community for these folks -- a place they can interact with each other on trading issues. I will be the monitor of this site and will add my two cents worth as just another contributor to the narrative. No promises on this last piece, but it is on my wish list."
I also asked Peter to clarify an idea he has about finding traders to manage a money pool. Here's his reply:
"I'm launching a multi-trader pool in the near future. My strategy for the pool is to combine traders with unusually strong risk-adjusted performance. My experience is that the best performance profile achieved by all-star traders comes early in their career, before they are discovered by the 'street.' I'll be on the lookout for emerging talent to be funded by the pool. I hope that some boot camp attendees will emerge as traders capable of managing money."
Peter's aim is to teach each student the trading methods which have worked so well for him, regardless of possible participation in a multi-trader pool.
